Your brand means a lot to you;
it means a lot to me, too.

Hi, my name is Kirstie (Keer-stee), and small businesses and local communities are really special to me. I’m glad to have finally found my place in the small business ecosystem as a designer and marketer.
I was an elementary teacher for six years trying to make it a good fit before realizing it wasn’t for me. I started freelancing as an SEO content writer for a B2B corporation while studying to earn a second bachelor’s.
After leaving teaching, I earned a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in Publishing. I took the skills I learned, including writing, marketing, typography, and Adobe InDesign, and found a marketing job in educational publishing. I was set. Or so I thought.

I was laid off.
Then came the most unexpected, out-of-left-field, amazing career pivot I had, honestly, never imagined for myself.
I built a website for my book blog. Then I built a website for a family member. Then I built a website for my husband’s friend who owns a barbershop.
I took everything I learned in my professional and educational experience (writing, marketing, typography, designing social graphics, SEO knowledge, and more), paired that with my fast-growing web design skills, and decided to build a marketing and brand design studio for small businesses.
Small businesses and local organizations run on heart and soul with a story to tell, and I have the strategic tools to help them tell their stories.

My professional path hasn’t been a straight line, but every step has taught me something valuable about storytelling. I’m so thankful my journey brought me here. I can’t wait to help you grow the story of your brand.
